Everything stays on your phone.
Companion for Phantom Blade Zero is an unofficial, fan-made app for Android and iPhone by Foundy Works. This page explains what it keeps, where it goes online and what it never does. Last updated 3 November 2026.
The short version
- No account and no sign-in.
- No analytics and no tracking.
- Everything you enter is stored on your phone and nowhere else. We have no server and collect nothing.
What the app keeps on your phone
Your profile, including the photo you choose for it and who stands on Home; your boss and tale progress; your bells; your settings; your themes, with any pictures you add to them; and the last copy of the news. None of it leaves your phone.
Where the app goes online
The app goes online for the things below, and nothing else. The guide’s lists ship with the app; only their pictures are fetched, from the wiki’s image server and Steam’s, when a page shows them, and the news is fetched from this website. Store requests are handled by Google Play or the App Store on your phone, and Google’s or Apple’s own privacy policy applies to them.
The optional one-off support purchase. The store handles the payment; we never see your payment details.
Checking whether a newer version of the app is available, and installing it when you agree.
The News page's stories, fetched when you open it so the list is up to date; the last copy is kept for when you are offline. It is a plain file request; nothing about you is sent with it.
The pictures on the Bosses, Weapons, Phantom Edges, Characters, Regions, Items, Enemies and Gallery pages, loaded when you open them. Nothing about you is sent beyond what any picture request carries.

Supporting the app
Every feature is free. The optional support purchase is a one-off payment through Google Play or the App Store, which handles the payment; we never see your payment details.
Permissions
- Internet, for store purchases and updates, the news and the guide’s pictures.
- Photos and camera, only when you choose a picture for a custom character or theme, through the system photo picker or camera. The app sees only the picture you pick, and keeps it on your phone.
- Notifications and alarms, for the bell timer and news alerts: exact alarms on Android, scheduled notifications on iPhone. They are set and rung on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your phone’s settings, deletes everything it has stored. As we hold nothing about you, there is nothing to request from us.
